QUILT OF THE DEAD WORKSHOPS Sapporo, Japan (June - July 2008)
Three workshops were conducted during my artist residency at NPO S-Air in Sapporo, Japan.
During these workshops the participants embroidered portraits of their deceased friends,relatives or pets that had passed away. These embroideries were then exhibited at my open studio on 24 and 25 July 2008.
After the exhibition, the embroideries were returned to the participants.
The participants were asked to each write statement about the person/pet they embroidered.
